At the heart of it all is the renowned CAMBA Trail System, featuring over 300 miles of well-maintained routes winding through rolling terrain, pine forests, and quiet gravel roads.
Whether you are out for a relaxed scenic ride or chasing a more technical, adrenaline-filled loop, the trail system delivers a world-class experience in every season.

Ride Straight Into the Northwoods
Bayfield County offers over 140 miles of scenic, interconnected UTV and ATV trails, winding through forests, rolling terrain, and quiet backroads.
One of the best parts is the convenience. You can unload your trailer and access the trail system directly from the property, making it easy to spend more time riding and less time planning logistics.
After a full day exploring the Northwoods, return to the lodge to grill, relax, and unwind by the lake.

Miles of Scenic Snowmobiling
Step outside and access the snowmobile trail just 1,000 feet from the cabin, making it easy to explore the Northwoods without trailering.
From here, you can quickly reach Cable or ride deeper into the region toward the Lake Namekagon area for a full day of open trails, forest corridors, and frozen lake crossings.
The surrounding trail system is part of the larger network maintained across Bayfield County, offering miles of groomed routes through some of the most scenic winter landscapes in the Midwest.

Spend the Day on Madeline Island
Take a scenic drive to Bayfield and hop on the ferry across Lake Superior to Madeline Island. Spend the day at Big Bay Town Park, explore the cliffs at Big Bay State Park, and take in some of the most beautiful shoreline in the Midwest.
Before heading back, stop by Tom's Burned Down Cafe for a drink and a laid-back island atmosphere.

Explore Mt. Telemark Village
A hub for year-round adventure, Telemark offers access to trails, events, and some of the most scenic terrain in the area. It is also home to the American Birkebeiner International Ski Foundation Museum, where you can dive into the rich history of Nordic skiing in the region.
You can also rent bikes and skis through New Moon’s New Location here, making it an easy starting point for a day of exploring.

Forest Lodge Conservancy Trails
A peaceful 2.3-mile loop maintained in partnership with the Cable Natural History Museum. This trail winds through forest, crosses a quiet road, and leads to a scenic bog with a boardwalk. It is an easy, immersive way to experience the Northwoods landscape.
About a 15-minute drive from Rosa Lake Lodge. -

Explore Houghton Falls
A 1.3-mile out-and-back trail featuring a striking sandstone gorge along the shores of Lake Superior. The cliffs extend into crystal-clear water with views of the Apostle Islands. Stunning year-round, and especially beautiful in winter.
About a 50-minute drive, perfect for a stop on your way to Bayfield. -

Hike St. Peter's Dome and Morgan Falls
A 3.6-mile round-trip hike with rugged terrain, exposed rock, and rewarding climbs. Along the way, you will pass Morgan Falls before reaching panoramic views that stretch over 20 miles to Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands.
About a 40-minute drive from the lodge.
